In the classical guided tour of the archeological park, visitors will be introduced to the history of Rudiae and of the region of Salento. We will present the archaeological monuments and remains while also telling thefascinating history of their discovery.
Firstly, we will provide visitors with some historical and geographical context that will be essential for better understanding what we will see later. In the classical guided tour visitor will be introduced to the ancient history of Rudiae and of the region of Salento, talking about the Greeks, the Messapian and the Romans. Thereafter, we will visit the pre-Roman and Roman monuments that belonged to the city of Rudiae, while also telling the fascinating story of their discovery and understanding.
This tour is intended for everyone.

Getting to the tour venue: The Archeological Park of Rudiae is 3.5 km far from the city center of Lecce. Participants can reach it by car/taxi, foot or bike.

Cancellation: The tour is intended to be conducted also in conditions of rain, wind and cold. However, if the forecasts arises some doubts that the weather conditions will not allow the normal taking place of the tour, it will be cancelled and participants will be notified.
Suggestions: For tours in June, July, August and September, the use of solar cream or solar protection is adviced. For tours from October to May, please, consider that it could rain and the wind chill might be significant, we advise you to dress accordingly.
