Let’s bike along the pleasant and easy road that from Lecce leads to the lost city of Rudiae. Along the way, we will learn about the monuments that tell the unique history and culture of these two cities in the heart of the Mediterranean. Arriving to Rudiae, surrounded by a fascinating rural landscape, we will visit the archaeological park. The tour concludes with a return to Lecce.

Total length of the tour (round-trip): circa 18 km
Riding conditions: Large part of the cycling will happen along bike lines or roads intended for cycle tourism, although some parts of it will be on normal city streets.
Difficulty: The cycling is easy and is suitable for all levels of physical fitness. In addition, the speed and stops will be adapted accordingly to the need of the participants.
Requirements: For this tour, all the participants have to be confident riding bicycles. In particular, participants need to be comfortable stopping with the bike as many times as necessary while the ride occurs in the city.
What is included: bike, helmet, tour guide and entrance to the Archeological Park of Rudiae.
What to expect: the monuments along the way to Rudiae will be visited from outside. Thus, guests will not need to buy any extra ticket. The only place to which we will pay an entrance and visit inside, is the Archeological Park of Rudiae, to which the ticket is included in the price of the tour.
Suggestions: for tours in June, July, August and September, it is strongly advised to bring water for hydration and the use of solar cream or solar protection during the ride and the visit to the Archeological Park. For tours from October to May, please, consider that it could rain and the wind chill might be significant, we advise you to dress accordingly.

Cancellation: The tour is intended to be conducted also in conditions of rain, wind and cold. However, if the forecasts arises some doubts that the weather conditions will not allow the normal taking place of the tour, it will be cancelled and participants will be notified.
Getting to the tour venue: Manifatture Knos is 2km from Piazza Sant’Oronzo (city center of Lecce) and can be reached walking or by car/taxi (click here for Google Maps). There is plenty space for free parking. For taxi, visit here.
